In keeping with the beachy yet formal vibe we see for a wedding at this location, we love this light and floaty gown from Erin Fetherston. To play off the subtle metallic detail of the dress and the bride’s own elegantly neutral look, we’ve paired it with simple gold strappy sandals, delicate jewelry, and a sparkly clutch.
After last week’s heat wave in the concrete jungle of New York, we’re dreaming of spending the rest of the summer on sandy white beaches dipping our toes into cool turquoise water.
Hence it seems like the perfect time to feature the beautiful Viceroy Riviera Maya for this week’s blogs.
This six-acre resort on the Carribean coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico makes for a destination wedding to remember. There are 41 private villas, miles of beautiful beach, a spa, and a variety of romantic, gourmet restaurants. A couple could celebrate the local culture with traditional Mayan blessings and rituals (with an in-house shaman!), or plan their own ceremony on the beach at sunset.
But what to wear at this gorgeous location? Here’s how we’d style a bride at the Viceroy Riviera Maya.
Even though the property is on the beach, the Viceroy Riviera Maya has a chic, sophisticated feel and so we’d like to see a bride here in a dress with some significance. We love this Carolina Herrera wrap gown because it’s so pretty and feminine, giving an incredibly chic vibe that feels soft and relaxed enough for a beach wedding, but still elegant enough for the venue. The dress makes such a statement with its beautiful lace that we’d keep the accessories simple and neutral to let the dress be the main focus.
What do you think of this lovely gown? Would you wear it to a beach wedding? Would you want to get married at the Viceroy Riviera Maya?
