Today is our final day at The Pierre New York, and with the amazing Leslie Mastin. Thank you so much to both of you for being a part of our blog!
I thought that it would be wonderful to end the week by showing you the amazing rehearsal dinner dress that the brilliant designer, Peter Soronen, made for Mary. She wanted something really special and very unique. She loved this a-line shape, and when I saw this dress in Peter’s collection, I knew it would be perfect for her. It has a pale pink slip underneath the black organza dress. My favorite part is the Chantilly lace accents he uses. She felt amazing in it, and had a great time at her party!
Today we are inspired by the beautiful outdoor terrace at The Peninsula Chicago, the perfect venue for a rehearsal dinner underneath the stars. What could be more beautiful than a formal sit down dinner in amidst the skyline of downtown Chicago?!? The outfit takes inspiration from the beautiful colors that are everywhere this spring: pinks, greens, and yellows. Our favorite piece is the Stella McCartney jacket paired with Stella McCartney crepe flared pants. What is your favorite piece? Isn’t the jacket incredible!
Being that we are in Aspen, Colorado this week featuring the amazing property The Little Nell, we wanted to think outside of the “traditional wedding-wear” box and feature pants. The weather in the mountains can change in a split second from a warm summer day to a cold winter day. To us, these amazing Stella McCartney fringed crepe wide-leg pants are really fun and stylish. To keep our looks today still feeling appropriate for a bride, they are all white with hints of creamy orange. Which look do you prefer? Would you ever wear pants to one of your wedding events?
We are back in Jumby Bay. With one of our favorite features every week one dress, two ways. Imagine walking around the pool deck during your rehearsal dinner with today’s Issa Dress. This gorgeous silk coral halterneck gown is perfect for the Caribbean nights. And can be styled two ways for a casual and formal look. For the casual look we have accessorized the look with awesome CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA Carmen Canvas Wedge espadrilles and a Chloe Marcie Continental Wallet that we are using as a clutch! For the formal look it is all about the Irene Neuwirth jewlery and the Croc and Lizard Effect Alexander Wang sandals.
I swooned when this piece walked the runway at Jason Wu’s show last week. Its everything I look for in a party dress – flirty, fresh and sexy in an unexpected way. I love the texture the feathers give this look – its feminine, elegant, perfect for dancing and the silhouette cinches your smallest part to flatter without being body conscious. My favorite silhouettes typically sport a high neckline with a short skirt, to show off slim stems and draw attention up to your face.
I love this dress from Lela Rose for a rehearsal dinner look. It is so special, romantic and feminine. Looking at it in person, it just floated down the runway. I think a bride would feel so beautiful in this.
Thanks Carrie and Rachel! It’s an honor to have you contribute to the blog! Brides, we would love to know what you think!

We end our beautiful week in Paris with a Parisian cafe inspired outfit. Most of your time spent in Paris will be in the amazing street-side cafes that line the streets in Paris. Today’s outfit is trendy and fashionable but not over the top. Parisian woman are fashionable but not overtly. The staple piece in today’s selection is the amazing Stella McCartney Neon floral jacquard pencil skirt which we paired with a J.Crew striped cotton-silk popover. What do you think of the combination? We also used neutral and gold tones to accessorize the outfit. What is your favorite piece?
